Ergo Store at London Design Festival 2017

London Design Festival for the fifteenth time attracted the representatives of the world of design, business and fans of everything what is the best and most interesting in the world of art. Ergo Store could not miss it.

Between 16th and 24th September in London, you could take part in more than 450 festival events: projects, presentations, discussions or exhibitions. One of the most spectacular events was, of course, the installation of Villa Walala, located near the office buildings at the Exchange Square. The construction prepared by French artist Camille Walala could impress by his colors and designs. 1200 sqm of vinyl was used for this project. The construction took 1200 hours of work and required the cooperation of a 50 person team.

As usual, LDF gathered a lot of visitors. The attention was drawn to such events as the 100% Design at the famous Olympia Center or the designjunction at King’s Cross. Most of the scheduled events had free admission, which was an additional magnet for visitors.

– London once again has become the capital of design, not only from the European perspective  but also in the world. Moving around the city, it was hard to disagree with it – confirms Paweł Dziarek, New Business Director of Ergo Store and our representative at the LDF  – We could admire the design in different aspects: everyday, usable and accessible, as well as luxurious or with extended symbolism – adds Dziarek.

Existing since 2003, the festival aims to promote London as a world capital of design. Next to the London Fashion Week, Frieze Art Fair and the London Film Festival, this is one of the most important events combining business with the world of art that could be found in the calendar of the British capital.

– History of the city, its architecture and diversity are creating a unique atmosphere of this event. It encourages to explore new solutions and look for inspiration – concludes Paweł Dziarek.
