How to use in-store advertising for effective promotion of the commercial space

Good marketing strategy in retail sale is a strategy that is aware of the value of attention and interest of the customer. One of the methods for catching that attention is appropriate marking of the commercial space.

Aesthetic and appropriately distributed in-store advertising in the retail store is a relatively affordable form of advertisement. However, if poorly used, it may discourage the clients to visit our store. What should we advertise and how can we use the commercial space marking to the full possibilities it offers?

1. Freebies

Everyone likes to get presents. This fact is known also to marketers, who remember that a small gift, such as a t-shirt, bag or small accessories received by the customer at the  purchase is a chance to increase that customer’s satisfaction with his or her visit in that shop. If we want to attract clients, let’s use advertisement to give out a clear message about additional benefits of buying at our store.

2. Discounts and discount coupons

Cheaper shopping is another form of attracting the clients, as well as encouraging those who have already visited our shop to come back. Hence store equipment should be used not only for exposure of articles, but it should also allow for placement of information about discounts and discount coupons within sight of the clients.

3. Special shows, presentations and competitions

Additional projects of that kind frequently enjoy insufficient popularity due to inappropriate advertising: lack of posters or banners displayed at the site. Shop window and entrance to the store are a perfect space for short and intensive promotion. It’s also a good idea to engage local artists or craftsmen in such events.

4. Sell-out

Retails manage sell-outs and liquidations of collections quite well and the clients are literally looking forward to huge posters and banners informing about significant discount and bargain offers such as “2 + 1 for free”. Let’s remember, however, that even visually simple sell-out advertisement should be aesthetic and readable.

All four issues discussed above are the most effective manners we may use to enhance the strength of our brand’s assortment in the eyes of the client. They should always be promoted by appropriate advertisement.
