Minimalism, ecology and multimedia at Retail Design Expo

The second edition of Retail Design Expo has come to an end. Ergo Store could not miss this major event.

The stands’ décor of exhibitors participating in Retail Design Expo has reflected the current trends. Wooden finishings, plywood and particle boards have dominated in the décor. An interior fitted with electronics and deep-rooted in minimalism has become a very prominent trend which will rule in retail design in the upcoming years.

– The exhibition stands presented at the fair can be well defined by three words. They encapsulate minimalism, both in décor and space, ecology and multimedia– said PawełDziarek, Ergo Store representative in London.  – I was impressed by Dalziel&Pow and Green Room stands. The former drew our attention by its multimedia in-store advertising message, using, i.a., a projector and sensors activated by guests, while its décor was reduced to the minimum. On the other hand, Green Room presented a stand which imitated a forest. The floor was interactive and one could hear the rustle of leaves and animal sounds while touching trees – added Paweł Dziarek. The authors of the smallest stands of a few square metres of space showed their creativity as well. There was an eye-catching double stand arranged to a cosy living room that prompted guests to have a talk.

Conferences on selected industry topics were also held at fairs. – E.g., shopfitting was discussed. All in all, a lot happened! For sure, everyone found something for themselves. I believe, however still new, this event must be visited every year and it has been added to the calendar of important retail industry events – added Paweł Dziarek from Ergo Store.

Retail Design Expo held at Olympia, London, was visited by over fifteen thousand guests. It is by 28% more in comparison to the first edition of the fair.

Booking of stands for the next year edition of Retail Design has already started and there are many interested in the event. We will meet at Retail Design Expo in London on 19-20 April 2017 next year. See you!

New Ergo Store production for the Sinsay brand in Greece

After a break, we have returned to Greece with a new project for the LPP Group. The result of our work is a Sinsay store produced in the city of Pyrgos. Our team was responsible for the complete fit-out of the store from A to Z – including retail furniture production, delivery, and assembly.

The evolution of shopping centers: between multifunctionality and locality

The market is moving in two seemingly contradictory, yet in practice complementary, directions: the transformation of large-scale malls into multifunctional (mixed-use) facilities and the dynamic expansion of local retail parks. What do these changes mean for the production of commercial spaces?
