Designing a large-scale retail store is a complex undertaking that requires meticulous planning and attention to the smallest details. Whether you’re creating a new flagship store or renovating an existing space, there are crucial factors to consider to create a successful retail environment that leaves a lasting impression on customers.
Recently, we had the opportunity to complete two such stores for the Sinsay brand in Serbia – in Knjazevac and Bogatić. Let’s delve into the process of preparing these stores and what mattered most.
Effective space planning is essential to ensure a seamless store layout. Consider the customer’s journey: how they will move through the store, which products should be prominently featured, and how to create focal points that attract attention. Optimize the space for easy navigation while maximizing product visibility.
The two new Sinsay stores in Serbia have distinct sections such as Women, Men, Children, and Home. Each of these areas required different display furniture models and layout considerations. Large stores can be overwhelming, so ensuring that customers feel comfortable was paramount.
Retail is an ever-evolving industry, so Sinsay stores are designed with flexibility in mind. The layout and fixtures can be adapted to accommodate changes in product lines, seasonal promotions, and evolving retail trends.
Lighting plays a pivotal role in creating Sinsay stores. Natural and artificial lighting should be carefully integrated to highlight products, create a welcoming atmosphere, and guide customers through the store. The new Sinsay stores are bright, and the lighting used does not disrupt the product presentation.
Both of these stores cover over 1000 square meters. The first, with 1121 square meters, spans two floors, while the second, with 1049 square meters, is a single-story store. Ergo Store was responsible for retail furniture production, transportation, and assembly in both cases.
The installation work on the first store took place from June 28 to July 4, 2023, with the official opening of Sinsay in Knjazevac on July 13. As for Sinsay in Bogatić, our installation team worked from August 21 to August 29, 2023, and the store was opened on September 7.
Both Sinsay stores were prepared according to the brand’s latest interior concept, which focuses on creating a modern and bright space dominated by white and gray hues.
Designing a large-scale retail store is a complex process that requires a delicate balance between aesthetics. By optimizing the layout, paying attention to details such as lighting, and considering flexibility, you can create a store that offers an unforgettable shopping experience.
