Where is the hub of modern retail? Ergo Store at trade events

Trade fairs are vital platforms for exchanging knowledge and experience. Contemporary trends – such as “phygital,” the advancement of AI, and sustainability – are reflected here through specific solutions presented by exhibitors. This article outlines Ergo Store’s presence at industry events in recent years and previews the most significant fairs scheduled for 2026 and early 2027.

EuroShop: our history and a global trend hub

The most important destination for any shopfitting manufacturer or retail company is the EuroShop fair in Düsseldorf. With nearly 60 years of tradition, this event defines industry directions every three years. EuroShop is a permanent fixture in our calendar.

  • EuroShop 2017: Our stand in Hall 12 provided an opportunity to showcase our project portfolio to an international audience. Key themes included the rapid digitalization of retail, tailor-made omnichannel solutions, and the increasing personalization of the shopping experience. “The fair confirmed ongoing trends focused on diversity, innovation, and physical store formats supported by digital solutions-whether through advertising or interior design,” summarized Paweł Dziarek, New Business Director at Ergo Store.
  • EuroShop 2020: We demonstrated how our furniture solutions meet the dynamic needs of global chains, prioritizing short assembly times and high aesthetics. The stand utilized a minimalist concept and natural materials, aligning with the trend of creating commercial spaces in the spirit of zero waste to reduce the environmental impact of retail.
  • EuroShop 2023: This edition focused on “Retail in the Age of Digitalization,” serving as an opportunity for networking and gaining industry inspiration.

Retail Design Expo: a London impulse for minimalism and tech

For years, the London-based Retail Design Expo (now operating as Retail Expo) was a significant point in our calendar. During the 2016 and 2017 editions, we explored innovative solutions such as interactive floors, motion sensors triggering video content, and sensory branding systems designed to engage the customer’s sense of hearing and touch.

Panorama Berlin: fashion architecture and collaboration with More & More

Ergo Store also maintained a strong presence at Panorama Berlin, one of Europe’s key fashion fairs. On these occasions, we participated not as an exhibitor, but as the stand producer for our long-term client, the German clothing brand More & More.

We first prepared an exhibition point for them in 2015. Our 2018 stand featured lightweight furniture where white finishes were balanced with natural greenery, emphasizing the ecological character of the collection. In winter 2020, we created a bold pink-and-gold display for the brand. The centerpiece was a striking bar made of brass, oak, and MDF, while clothing was displayed on racks made of brass rods and sheet metal, complemented by pink velvet platforms.

2026-2027 perspective: upcoming events and trends

The year 2026 will bring further events reviewing trends in retail and shopfitting.

  • EuroShop 2026 (February 22-26, 2026): The upcoming edition will focus on energy efficiency and the digitalization of physical infrastructure.
  • NRF Retail’s Big Show (New York, January 10-12, 2027): While technology-dominated, this event significantly impacts shopfitting production standards.
  • NRF Retail’s Big Show Europe (Paris, September 15-17, 2026): This is the first edition of Paris Retail Week under the new brand. Located at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, it aims to be the primary meeting for retail decision-makers in the EMEA region, focusing on blurring the lines between e-commerce and brick-and-mortar stores.
  • RetailShow (Warsaw, November 18-19, 2026): For companies in the CEE region, this remains the most important annual B2B event. A unique feature is the “Perfect Store”—a model shop concept where exhibitors present furniture and technology in an integrated, functional arrangement.
  • Salone del Mobile (Milan, April 21-26, 2026): Traditionally a home furniture event, it is expanding its contract sector through the Salone Contract initiative.

For Ergo Store, trade fairs are a testing ground. Almost 20 years of market presence allows us to critically evaluate innovations and select those that offer real value to our clients. Our primary goal remains unchanged: to provide furniture that not only displays products attractively but also serves as a modern sales tool.
