We have had the pleasure of collaborating with the Dockers brand for years, and in recent months, we have added to our portfolio two new shops in Lyon, France.
The first project is a monobrand store covering an area of 75 square meters in the Confluence shopping center – a modern and spacious facility built in 2012, which aims to provide customers with a “four-star shopping experience.”
Confluence is home to the first Hollister store in Lyon – an American brand offering clothing and accessories inspired by the sunny, Californian style. Other clothing brands present in Confluence include Levi’s, New Yorker, Pull & Bear, and Zara.
The Dockers store in Confluence was opened on November 16, 2023. Our team handled retail furniture production, furniture transportation, and assembly, which took place on November 9-10, 2023.
The second shop produced by us in Lyon is located in the famous, exclusive French Galeries Lafayette chain.
This time it is a shop-in-shop covering an area of 16 square meters. Our team handled retail furniture production and transportation, and the store was opened on December 12, 2023.
The history of the Dockers clothing brand dates back to the 1980s when Levi Strauss & Co., primarily known for producing Levi’s jeans, decided to create a collection of chinos pants that were intended to be more casual and versatile than traditional jeans. Originally named “Levi’s 988,” in 1986 they were introduced to the market under a new brand – Dockers. The inspiration came from classic khaki pants worn by sailors, hence the name referring to the term “docker” meaning a dockworker.
The pants quickly gained popularity, especially among younger consumers looking for more casual and comfortable everyday wear. The brand has continuously evolved, expanding its offering to include various styles of chinos pants, shirts, sweaters, and other items of both men’s and women’s wardrobes.
A comprehensive overview of Dockers’ current clothing offerings can be found in our store at the Confluence shopping center in Lyon – it features both the men’s and women’s collections of the brand. The shop-in-shop at Galeries Lafayette, on the other hand, exclusively offers men’s clothing.
Dockers is just one of the global clothing brands Ergo Store collaborates with. For the past 15 years, we have been carrying out projects across Europe and the Middle East, working with brands such as Levi’s, Wrangler / Lee, Etam, Adidas, Reebok, More & More, Reserved, and Sinsay.
For the Dockers brand, we often undertake projects in two European countries – Spain and France. Recently, we have produced, among others, two shops in Marseille, a store in Lille, as well as two shops featuring the men’s collection in the ECI department store network in Spain.

After a break, we have returned to Greece with a new project for the LPP Group. The result of our work is a Sinsay store produced in the city of Pyrgos. Our team was responsible for the complete fit-out of the store from A to Z – including retail furniture production, delivery, and assembly.

The market is moving in two seemingly contradictory, yet in practice complementary, directions: the transformation of large-scale malls into multifunctional (mixed-use) facilities and the dynamic expansion of local retail parks. What do these changes mean for the production of commercial spaces?
